Design Rights & Copyright

1. Every design here is ours

Every wallpaper and mural design sold on this website was conceived, drawn and finished in-house by The Prints Plus (Sahajanand The Prints Plus, Surat, Gujarat, India). The catalogue was rebuilt from a blank page in 2026: no design on this site is copied from, traced from, adapted from or licensed from any other wallpaper brand, stock library, marketplace or artist. Room photographs, pattern swatches and material macros are likewise produced by us for our own catalogue.

Each design is an original artistic work under Section 2(c) of the Copyright Act, 1957 (India). Copyright arises on creation and belongs to The Prints Plus as the author and first owner (Section 17). India is a signatory to the Berne Convention, so the same protection applies automatically in 180+ countries without any registration. Dated, high-resolution master files and working drafts are held off-line as proof of authorship for every design.

2. What you may do

  • Browse, save, wishlist and share links to any design page.
  • Use the free wall preview ("See it on your wall") on your own room photos.
  • Order a design printed to your wall size, on any of our materials, for your own home or premises.
  • Photograph your finished wall and post it anywhere — we love seeing it. Tag us if you like.
  • Order a sample, or ask our artists for a free adaptation (scale, colours, elements) of any design for your order.

3. What you may not do

Without our written licence you may not, in whole or in part:

  • Download, screenshot, scrape, crawl or otherwise copy any design image, room render, pattern tile or swatch.
  • Reproduce, print, resell, distribute or publicly display any design — including having it printed by any other printer.
  • Create derivative works: recolouring, cropping, re-tracing, "inspired-by" reproductions or AI-assisted variants of our designs.
  • Use our images in your own catalogue, marketplace listing, social media shop, mock-ups, advertising or portfolio.
  • Remove, crop or obscure watermarks, credits or metadata; or circumvent the technical protection on our image delivery.

Product images are served at screen resolution only and the print-ready masters never leave our servers. Automated access to image endpoints is rate-limited, hot-linking is refused, and every request is logged.

4. Enforcement

Unauthorised reproduction of our designs is copyright infringement under Section 51 of the Copyright Act, 1957. We enforce our rights, and we do so in the following order:

  1. Takedown notices to the hosting provider, marketplace, social network or search engine carrying the copy (including DMCA notices for services governed by US law and notices under Rule 3(1)(d) of the IT Rules, 2021 for Indian intermediaries).
  2. Civil action for injunction, damages and accounts of profits, and delivery-up of infringing stock and printing files (Section 55).
  3. Criminal complaint where infringement is knowing and commercial (Section 63: imprisonment of six months to three years and a fine of ₹50,000 to ₹2,00,000), including seizure of infringing copies and plates (Section 64).

Printers who print our designs from files supplied by a customer are not shielded by the customer's instruction; the printing itself is an infringing reproduction.

5. Trademarks

"The Prints Plus", the mehrab mark and the names of our collections and finishes (Easy Matte, Art Matte, Lustre Satin, Soft Grain, Leather Grain, Linen Texture, Pearl Metallic, Crystal Canvas, Studio Canvas, Stardust) are trade names and marks of The Prints Plus. They may not be used to describe, sell or promote goods that are not ours.

6. Your own artwork

When you upload a photo, painting or design for custom printing, you keep every right in it. You grant us only the narrow licence needed to proof, print and quality-check your order; we never use customer artwork for our catalogue, marketing or any other purpose. In turn, you confirm that you own the artwork or hold the rights to print it, and that printing it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We refuse to print material that appears to be someone else's copyright, and we do not "recreate a design you saw elsewhere" — we can design you an original in the same spirit instead.

7. Licensing and trade use

Interior designers, architects, hotels and developers can license our designs for project use, private-label collections or co-branded lines. Every licence is written, scoped by design, territory and use, and usually includes exclusivity options. Write to sales@theprintsplus.com or use the trade enquiry form.

8. Respecting others' rights

We take third-party rights as seriously as our own. If you believe any content on this website infringes a copyright or trademark you hold, send a notice to support@theprintsplus.com with: the work you own and proof of ownership, the URL on our site, your contact details, and a statement made in good faith that the use is unauthorised. We acknowledge every notice within 2 working days and act on substantiated notices within the timelines of the IT Rules, 2021.

9. Reporting a copy of our work

Seen one of our designs on another website, marketplace or social account? Send the link to support@theprintsplus.com. We check every report and reply to you when action is taken.
